The ink storage containers 12 and 172 are characterized by improved corrosion resistance of the ink 32, ability to prevent air from entering the ink 32, and dimensional stability. This system also prevents the evaporative loss of volatile components from the ink supply 32. The ink container 12, 172 is made of polyethylene naphthalate, at least one liquid crystal polymer, or polyethylene naphthalate in combination with at least one liquid crystal polymer. Storing the ink 32 inside the containers 12, 172 made of the specific materials described above can provide many of the effects described above and can significantly improve the operational efficiency of the entire ink transfer system 10, 170. |
