titleOfInvention Absorbent article capable of self-shaping in use
abstract The present invention is worn adjacent to the body discharge area, substantially flat before use, having a longitudinal centerline OO defining a longitudinal and lateral direction, respectively, and a lateral centerline AA perpendicular to the longitudinal centerline. A disposable absorbent article 20 for This disposable absorbent article 20 includes a liquid permeable top sheet 24, a back sheet 26 connected to the top sheet, and an absorbent core positioned between the top sheet 24 and the back sheet 26. The absorbent core 28 includes an inflation layer 46 that can inflate it into a three dimensional structure while the product is worn by the user. The expanded layer 46 is activated by body fluid and has a constant thickness in a dry state before use. Once activated by the body fluid, the inflation layer 46 can expand to a predetermined profile of non-constant thickness.
