abstract | The present invention provides an optical sensor having a simple structure and high sensitivity for detecting a chemical substance dissolved or dispersed in water. The optical sensor 1 of the present invention comprises a detection element 2 having a polymer thin film, a light source unit 3 for emitting light for irradiation of the polymer thin film, and a photo-detector for detecting the intensity of light reflected from the polymer thin film.
