Temperature sensitive gel for sustained delivery of protein drugs |
abstract |
Pharmaceutical compositions for the delivery of proteins with pharmacological activity have been provided by the present invention. The composition of the present invention comprises a polymer base having thermal gelling properties comprising a discontinuous suspension of at least one biologically active macromolecular polypeptide having at least 90% of its biological activity. Furthermore the concentration of the macromolecular polypeptide is at least 0.5% of the composition weight. |
