Polyether amine modification of polypropylene |
abstract |
A composition is described which consists of a blend of polyethylene and the reaction product of a functionalized polypropylene with a polyetheramine, wherein the polyethylene amine is implanted into the functionalized polypropylene in a conventional mixing device. The blend may comprise a thermoplastic vulcanizate (“TPV”). Also described is a process for preparing the reaction product of functionalized polypropylene and polyetheramine by dissolving with polypropylene in a conventional mixing apparatus. The blends of the present invention are very useful for producing colorable automotive body parts. |
