abstract |
The present invention relates to the application of biocatalysis techniques for carrying out selective chemical reactions. In one embodiment, the present invention is directed to a method of using the agent as a catalyst in a chemical reaction comprising a crosslinked protein crystal formulation and an organic solvent. The present invention also relates to methods of preparing crosslinked protein crystal formulations and to methods for optimizing chemical reactions in organic solvents, including those used in industrial scale chemical processes. |
