titleOfInvention Composition for Extending the Vividness of Cut Flowers
abstract The present invention relates to a cut flower life extender utilizing p20, an antioxidant protein present in the cell membrane space of Escherichia coli. The cut flower life extender of the present invention is that the E. coli antioxidant protein p20 is dissolved in a stabilizer composed of an organic acid, an antioxidant, and a salt. When the cut flower is immersed before and after flowering, the life is greatly extended.n n n Cut flower life extender according to the present invention can extend the life of the flower for an average of 3-5 days in the pretreatment, and an average of 7 days in the post-treatment. It can also be used as a post-treatment agent that increases the ornamental value of retailers and consumers.
