abstract The present invention relates to a novel Ras-like protein that specifically interacts with IκB, an inhibitor of NFκB, its genes, and a method for isolating it from mice. Specifically, the present invention relates specifically to IκB using a yeast 2 hybrid method from mice. Isolates new Ras-like proteins that interact with them to determine their gene sequence and amino acid sequence, and to characterize their inhibition of NFκB activation mediated by TNFα or IL-1. In this regard, it can be usefully used as an anti-inflammatory agent, an immunomodulator, an anticancer agent, and the like.
