The present invention relates to phytase and a) C 5 saccharides such as xylitol or ribitol, b) polyethylene glycols having a molecular weight of 600 to 4000 Da, c) di of malonic acid, glutaric acid and succinic acid. A stabilized enzyme formulation containing at least one stabilizer selected from the group consisting of sodium salts, d) carboxymethylcellulose, and e) sodium alginate.n n n In addition, phytate is chemically crosslinked by a) chemical reaction with glutaraldehyde or b) oxidation of phytate carbohydrate moiety with sodium periodate followed by addition of adipic acid dihydrazide.
