abstract | The present invention relates to non-aerosol hair cosmetic compositions of low volatile organic compounds containing nonionic modified starch. Starch can be further hydrolyzed and in particular hydrolyzed by enzymes. Starch may also be modified by ionic substituents. The use of such starch is novel and provides a clear solution with low viscosity and good pump spray properties. The resulting composition is also viscous and provides good tightness and improved moisture resistance. |
