According to the present invention, a new catalyst precursor is obtained in which alkoxy or siloxy substitution is carried out at the 2-position of the 5-membered ring of the indenyl compound. Whereby a metallocene compound in which the oxygen atom is directly bonded to the 2-position of the penta-totoindenyl moiety is obtained. This catalyst precursor can be used as an olefin polymerization catalyst component. |
