titleOfInvention Making dosage units using low shear granulation
abstract The present invention relates to a method for preparing a pharmaceutical dosage unit containing from 0.005% to 1.0% by weight of pulverized Org 30659 as active substance. The process of the invention comprises the steps of (a) mixing the active substance with a suitable carrier to form a mixture, and (b) granulating the mixture by wetting the mixture with a binder liquid under stirring to form aggregates or granules. As a method, the granulation step (b) is characterized in that the shear force is exerted on the granules so as not to exceed the tensile strength of the aggregate or granules. According to the method of the present invention, granules and tablets excellent in content uniformity can be obtained.
