abstract | The present invention relates to a polymeric binder (a) comprising a polymer containing an N-substituted maleimide unit, a polymer insoluble in water but soluble in an aqueous-alkali solution and containing an N-substituted maleimide unit of formula (1); and A positive- or negative-acting radiation-sensitive mixture comprising at least one radiation-sensitive compound.n n n Formula 1n n n n n n n n The present invention further relates to a recording material having a support and a radiation-sensitive film made of the mixture. The recording material is particularly suitable for producing chemical resistant embossed records. Flat plate printing plates made from recording materials are capable of performing long-term printing and are resistant to chemical processing. |
