abstract | A plasma display device comprising a back plate made of a metal substrate having a dielectric layer bonded to the substrate and formed on the entire metal substrate and a front panel having a predetermined distance from the back panel is disclosed. Conductive electrodes are formed on or in the dielectric layer of the back panel. The materials of the back panel are selected as materials having a coefficient of thermal expansion that matches that of the front panel. The green tape is embossed to form partitions on the back panel prior to co-firing the bonded assembly. The green tape is embossed using pulsating pressure and an embossing tool formed by assembling the embossing members and the spacer members during compression. The embossing tool includes elastic spacers mounted on the outside of the embossing tool, which elastic members are compressed during embossing and are installed in a position where it is possible to facilitate the removal of the embossed green tape from the embossing tool after embossing. |
