abstract | The present invention provides a novel cancer metastasis inhibitory protein-coding gene (snm23 / NDP kinase) isolated from a shark (Korean tiger shark, Scyliorhinus torazame ) and a protein encoded thereby. This gene is encoded by a 450 base pair, which corresponds to 150 amino acid residues, and has a molecular weight of 16.8 kDa. The snm23 / NDP kinase, a shark cancer metastasis inhibiting protein, displays 66% sequence identity and 85% sequence identity with human nm23 / NDP kinase. |
