titleOfInvention | Tempered Glass for Display |
abstract | BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a method of strengthening glass for display, and more particularly, the ion radius of ions of glass surfaces for displays, such as liquid crystal display (LCD), plasma display panel (PDP), field emission display (FED), and the like. Small sodium ions are ion-exchanged with potassium ions having a large ionic radius, thereby compressing the display glass by generating compressive stress on the surface of the display glass, and in particular, using an ion exchange solution containing potassium nitrate solution and zinc oxide powder. It is possible to selectively strengthen the glass surface to be strengthened, and also to a method of strengthening the glass for display by continuously ion exchanged in a tunnel type continuous kiln. |
