abstract | Mixtures of two or more components having different boiling temperatures and compatible or compatible with each other may be prepared using a device having a thin film evaporator 1 having a feed inlet 1a and a discharge outlet 1b. Of the mixed multicomponent liquid by evaporation into a mixed vapor having a composition similar to that of the mixed liquid, by recovering the portion of the undistilled mixture from the outgoing end of the evaporator and returning the mixed liquid portion through the circulation line 3 into the feed side end of the evaporator. The forced evaporation of the evaporated portion causes the resulting mixed multicomponent vapor to be, for example, mono-alkyl ether or di-alkyl ether of an aromatic dihydroxy compound. It can be used as a mixed material vapor for gas phase catalytic reactions that generate -alkylethers. |
