titleOfInvention | Process for producing silane crosslinked polyolefin |
abstract | (i) a carrier polymer A containing a polyolefin base polymer, (ii) an organic unsaturated silane and a free radical generator, and substantially free of water, and (iii) a carrier polymer B containing a silanol condensation catalyst and an antioxidant The method for producing a silane crosslinked polyolefin, characterized in that the reaction is carried out by melt mixing at a higher temperature than the crystal melting point of the base polymer, and then the reaction product is brought into contact with water to effect crosslinking. This method can provide silane crosslinked polyolefin having excellent crosslinking properties, mechanical properties and heat resistance as well as extrusion processability. |
