abstract |
The aromatic carbonate polymer composition of the present invention consists of an aromatic carbonate polymer such as polycarbonate or a polycarbonate / polyester blend and an alkali-free impact modifier that catalyzes the polycarbonate and has improved thermal stability. In addition, the impact modifier preferably has a shell-core structure made by an emulsion polymerization process and has a pH of about 3 to about 8. Preferred emulsifiers are alkyl sulfonates having alkyl groups of C 6 to C 18 . |
