abstract | The present invention relates to a biaxially stretched polyester film for forming a container, which comprises a polyester substantially composed of an ethylene terephthalate unit and an ethylene naphthalate unit, and has a refractive index in a thickness direction of the film of 1.5 or more. The film has not only excellent moldability when formed into cans and the like, but also has excellent properties of taste, especially taste characteristics after retort processing, and can be suitably used for containers, particularly metal cans, which are produced by molding. |
