The present invention solidifies an aqueous solution of a thermohydrolysable titanium compound on a continuous belt, desorbs the resulting layer, and coats the obtained titanium dioxide plates with additional titanium dioxide by a wet method, with or without drying in between. Plate, consisting of titanium dioxide, titanium suboxide and optionally additional metal oxide or titanium oxynitride, which can be obtained by drying, drying and optionally calcining the material and treating the obtained material with a reducing agent in a non-oxidizing gas atmosphere. It relates to a titanium dioxide reducing pigment. |
