titleOfInvention Coating Additives for Waterborne Adhesive Blends
abstract An aqueous pressure sensitive adhesive formulation having one or more high molecular weight linear aliphatic polymers is provided. The resulting composition can be used to form a stable filament form and can be delivered from the coating die of the pre-measured coater in a stable sheet form at a flow rate substantially slower than the minimum delivery flow rate obtainable using a blend without polymer. Low polymer concentrations can result in dramatic improvements in the viscosity of the composition without adversely affecting the adhesive and other desirable properties of the composition.
