titleOfInvention | Method for preparing diarylmethane or its derivatives |
abstract | In the method for producing diaryl methane or a derivative thereof by the condensation reaction, it can be easily carried out without deterioration of the condensation catalyst, and the target product can be produced at low cost by recovering and circulating alcohol. The production method of the present invention is characterized in that dimethoxymethane and an aromatic compound are reacted at a reaction temperature of 80 to 400 ° C in the presence of an acid catalyst. Moreover, the manufacturing method of this invention is implemented by following process (1)-(4). (1) reacting alcohol with formaldehyde to produce acetal, (2) reacting acetal with an aromatic compound to obtain a reaction solution containing diarylmethane or a derivative thereof and an alcohol (3) diaryl from the reaction solution Methane or its derivatives and alcohols are separately recovered and recovered. (4) The recovered alcohol is recycled to the above step (1) for reuse. |
