The present invention relates to a process for processing a feedstock comprising acetylene and diolefin hydrocarbons, including hydrocarbons having 10 or more carbon atoms per molecule. The process of the present invention passes the feedstock through a distillation zone connected to an optional hydrogenation reaction zone comprising at least one catalyst bed, wherein the optional hydrogenation reaction zone is present inside or outside the distillation zone and in the feedstock The hydrogenation of at least a portion of the contained acetylene and diolefinic hydrocarbons is carried out in the presence of a hydrogen rich gas stream.n n n The process of the invention is particularly suitable for treating products obtained from catalytic cracking. |
