titleOfInvention | Acrylic Emulsion Coatings for Rubber Products |
abstract | Provided are powder-free polymer coated rubber articles, in particular rubber gloves, coated with a non-tacky acrylic emulsion copolymer formed by the polymerization of at least one low surface energy monomer, at least one alkyl acrylate and at least one hard monomer. The copolymer is preferably formed by a continuous polymerization reaction. This method provides improved properties over conventional methods of making rubber gloves comprising the step of depositing a mold in the form of the product to be formed into a condensation slurry containing calcium nitrate and calcium carbonate. |
