titleOfInvention | Method for producing polyethylene naphthalate |
abstract | In the method for producing polyethylene naphthalate of the present invention, water is introduced into the reaction system from the start of the reaction between naphthalenedicarboxylic acid and ethylene glycol, and salts such as nitric acid, carboxylic acid, phosphoric acid and monohydrogen phosphate as necessary. And in the presence of at least one catalyst selected from the group consisting of amines, to achieve an esterification rate of 45 to 80%, naphthalenedicarboxylic acid, carboxyl-hydroxyethoxy-carbonylnaphthalene and bis (hydroxy A naphthalenecarboxylic acid esterification product mixture containing ethoxycarbonyl) naphthalene is obtained. Subsequently, crystals are separated from this mixed solution to obtain an esterification product mixture. Thereafter, as necessary, ethylene glycol is added to the mixture to polycondensate. The polyethylene naphthalate produced by the method of the present invention has a low content of naphthalenedicarboxylic acid each having a diethylene glycol skeleton, and therefore, for example, the appearance and the like are excellent in quality. |
