titleOfInvention | Magneto-optical recording media and its reproduction method |
abstract | The magneto-optical recording medium has an in-plane magnetization state at room temperature, a reproduction layer which is in a vertical magnetization state at a predetermined temperature or more due to a temperature rise by a light beam for reproduction, a recording layer which is sperm-coupled with the reproduction layer, and the recording. And an in-plane magnetization layer having a Curie temperature at the predetermined temperature adjacent the layer. In the medium, the sperm bond is blocked by a magnetization mask by an in-plane magnetization layer for signals recorded at a high density below the predetermined temperature. On the other hand, when the medium is above the predetermined temperature, the recording layer and the reproduction layer are sperm-coupled in a part of the in-plane magnetization layer, and the recording bits of the recording layer are enlarged and transferred to the magnetic domain of the reproduction layer. Therefore, the medium can be reproduced with high signal quality as it is reproduced from the magnetic domain of the enlarged reproduction layer even from each recording bit recorded with high density. |
