abstract The present invention relates to a polyvinyl chloride resin composition for wire coating having excellent mechanical strength and flame retardancy after heating at room temperature and excellent flexibility at a low temperature, 100 parts by weight of PVC having a number average degree of polymerization of 1,300 or more, 70 to 90 parts by weight of a plasticizer, 3 to 5 parts by weight of a flame retardant and 30 to 50 parts by weight of a plastic polymer can be used as a basic composition to obtain a PVC resin composition for electric wire coating having excellent flexibility at low temperatures, excellent mechanical strength and post-heating properties, and flame retardancy. It can be applied to wires and cables requiring the above characteristics in the environment, and can also be used for wires and cables which simultaneously require cold resistance and flame resistance.
