abstract The present invention is a metaball polygonalization method used to render a model quickly using a metaball, which is a basic element of graphics, and an algorithm that saves memory and increases scalability, and a metaball employing the algorithm. It relates to a polygonizer. Conventionally, after storing all the density values for the sample points of the entire space, the storage and the polygonalization cause a waste of memory. However, according to the present invention, if only the density information necessary for the polygonalization is generated and polygonalized, the memory is stored. Can be saved and parallelism can be improved, and when the polygonalizer adopting this algorithm is extended in parallel, the effect of the algorithm can be fully achieved by distributing the metabols for each node and performing polygonalization for each node.
