titleOfInvention Method of producing microporous polyolefin membrane
abstract The present invention relates to a method for producing a microporous polyolefin membrane having a relatively large pore size, high permeability, and suitable for use in water treatment, microfiltration, and the like. The process produces a solution by dissolving the polyolefin composition in a solvent, extruding the solution in the form of a gel sheet through the die lip, then rapidly cooling the gel sheet, washing off the residual solvent in the cooled sheet, and then removing it. Drying the resulting sheet to remove the washing solvent. A polyolefin composition is a mixture of the ultrahigh molecular weight polyolefin (A) whose weight average molecular weight is 5x10 < 5> or more, and the polyolefin (B) whose weight average molecular weight is less than 5x10 < 5> , The weight ratio of (B) to (A) is 0.2-20.
