abstract |
Polymers containing anionic groups (eg acid anhydride groups, carboxyl groups) and hydrophilic segments (eg polyoxyalkylene ether units) are used as cement hardening retardants. This polymer can be obtained by copolymerization of monomers such as maleic anhydride with monomers including vinylalkyl ether monomers in which alkylene oxide is added to allyl alcohol. This polymer may be a copolymer copolymerized with other monomers such as styrene. The use of such cement hardening retarders can provide a pattern or wash finish on the surface of the concrete product. Cement hardening retardants are suitable for use as cement hardening delay sheets. |
