abstract The introduction of electronics into drug delivery devices may pose certain technological challenges, such as durability, electro-mechanical integration, and drug delivery performance. The present invention provides a solution for the inclusion of an electronics module with an inhaler. For example, thermal posts may be used to secure a printed circuit board (PCB) to the housing of an electronics module. Also, for example, a slider could be used to transfer vertical movement of the yoke of the inhaler to a switch in the electronics module. Also for example, certain enclosures may be used to achieve the required performance when the electronics module is connected to other parts of the device's housing.
