The present invention relates to novel catalysts for oxidative esterification, wherein, for example, (meth)acrolein can be converted to methyl (meth)acrylate. The catalysts of the invention are particularly characterized by good mechanical and chemical stability even over very long periods of time. In particular there is an improvement over prior art catalysts which lose activity and/or selectivity relatively quickly during continuous operation even in media with low water content. |
