abstract The present invention relates to a solid composition for releasing chlorine dioxide gas and a sterilization/deodorant using the same, which contains gypsum (CaSO 4 ) powder and sodium chlorite (NaClO 2 ) aqueous solution as active ingredients to gradually release chlorine dioxide gas into the air. By doing so, safety is increased, and odors are oxidized and removed, and odor-causing bacteria or harmful bacteria can be sterilized.
