abstract The present invention relates to a facade element (1) comprising a transparent cover plate (2) and an opaque back element (3) mounted on the cover plate (2), wherein the cover plate (2) has an outer surface facing the external environment ( 4) and an inner surface 5 facing the rear element 3. According to a first aspect, the outer surface 4 has at least one patterned area 8 , on which an interference layer 9 is arranged. According to a second aspect, an interference layer 9 is arranged on the inner surface 5 . In addition, the inner surface 5 and/or the outer surface 4 each have at least one patterned area 8, 8', wherein the outer surface 4 has at least one patterned area 8'. Alternatively, a further interference layer 9' is arranged on the outer surface 4. The patterned regions 8, 8' have the following characteristics: - a height profile with hills and valleys perpendicular to the plane of the cover plate 2, wherein the average height difference between hills and valleys is at least 5 μm, at least 10 μm or at least 15 μm, - at least 50 % of the patterned area 8, 8' consists of segments 10 inclined with respect to the plane of the cover plate 2, wherein the segments 10 relative to the plane of the cover plate 2 ) have an inclination angle ranging from greater than 0° to a maximum of 15°, and at least 30% of the segments 10 have an inclination angle ranging from greater than 15° to a maximum of 45°, wherein - the segments 10 are in each case flat and have a segment area of at least 1 μm 2 , wherein the segments 10 have an average roughness of less than 15% of the layer thickness of the optical interference layer 9 on the inner or outer surface have
