abstract An imidazolinopyrimidinone compound having an activity of inducing TRAIL gene expression in macrophages is disclosed. Further disclosed herein are methods of treating various cancers comprising administering an effective amount of an imidazolinopyrimidinone having the structure of Formula (I). The present invention, in various embodiments, relates to a compound capable of inducing expression of a TRAIL gene in a cell capable of expressing the TRAIL gene to produce the cytokine TRAIL and a pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of the compound.
