Provided is a method for producing resin beads that can be replaced with resin particles containing petroleum-derived synthetic materials, which can provide various products such as cosmetics with excellent touch, skin spreadability, transparency, and product stability. It is a manufacturing method of the resin beads which have a cellulose derivative as a main component. An oil phase containing a cellulose derivative and an organic solvent having a solubility in water of 0.1 to 50.0 g, which dissolves the cellulose derivative, and an aqueous phase containing a dispersion stabilizer are mixed to form a suspension containing an oil drop containing a cellulose derivative and an organic solvent. It has a suspension preparation step to prepare, and an oil droplet shrinkage step in which water is added to the suspension to shrink the oil droplets, and the following formula (A) is satisfied until the content of the organic solvent in the suspension is equal to or less than the aqueous solubility of the organic solvent. Add water to the suspension. (W/S)/T≤1.00 … (A) W: added amount of water (parts by mass) S: amount of suspension (parts by mass) T: addition time (minutes) |
