An aerosol-generating article that improves taste satisfaction and can be manufactured at low cost and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. An aerosol-generating article according to some embodiments of the present disclosure includes a leaf tobacco cut filler, an aerosol-forming base portion that forms an aerosol as it is electrically heated by an aerosol-generating device, and a downstream end of the aerosol-forming base portion located downstream of the aerosol-forming base portion. It may include a mouthpiece to form. Since leaf tobacco cut fillers are less expensive than reconstituted tobacco sheets, manufacturing costs of aerosol-generating articles can be reduced.
