The present invention provides compositions and methods for the production of pluripotent cells. In particular, the present invention provides an improved culture platform for the production of pluripotent cells with basal-state pluripotency. In various embodiments, the present invention provides, in part, (a) a Wnt pathway agonist; (b) MEK inhibitors; and (c) a ROCK inhibitor. In certain embodiments, the composition further comprises bFGF or LIF. |
