abstract |
An antimicrobial composition is provided comprising at least one acid and at least one anionic surfactant. Specifically, a food contact antimicrobial composition comprising at least one acid and at least one anionic surfactant provides effective virucidal activity against norovirus, allowing for no use of personal protective equipment (PPE). It has a possible use solution pH, is surface compatible, and leaves no residue on the treated surface. A method of cleaning a surface with the composition is also provided and advantageously may eliminate the need to rinse the antimicrobial composition after use. |
