Odor control article |
abstract |
An odor control article (10) comprising a hydrophobic polymer of intrinsic porosity (HPIM) and its use for odor control in personal care and hygiene product applications are disclosed. Odor control article 10 includes HPIM and a colorant. The odor control article 10 may be applied to the substrate 11 , and more specifically to the liquid absorbing member 30 to form the odor absorbing member 20 . The substrate 11 is capable of absorbing liquid. The odor absorbing member 20 may be disposed on products such as a diaper 200 , an incontinence pad 60 , and a refrigerator pad. Also disclosed is a method for preparing an odor control suspension with HPIM comprising the use of a surfactant. The odor control suspension may also be applied to the substrate 11 . |
