titleOfInvention | Process for High Severity Fluid Catalytic Cracking Units |
abstract | An embodiment of a method for converting a gas condensate to a product stream comprising propylene comprises feeding the gas condensate to an upper region of a downflow high-severity fluid catalytic cracking reactor (HSFCC), wherein the gas condensate The water comprises at least 50% by weight paraffins and less than 0.1% by weight olefins. The method further comprises feeding the catalyst to the upper region of the downflow HSFCC reactor in an amount characterized in that the catalyst to gas condensate weight ratio is from about 5:1 to about 40:1, wherein the catalyst is an average particle and a nano-ZSM-5 zeolite catalyst having a diameter of 0.01 to 0.2 μm, a Si/Al molar ratio of 20 to 40, and a surface area of at least 20 cm 2 /g. The method further comprises cracking the gaseous condensate in the presence of a catalyst at a reaction temperature of about 500° C. to about 700° C. to produce a product stream comprising propylene. |
