abstract The technology disclosed herein relates to plastic compounds suitable for articles such as pipe fittings and valves that have good physical properties, such as impact strength, and resistance to environmental stress cracking (ESC). In particular, the present technology relates to vinyl chloride resins comprising chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (“CPVC”) homopolymers. The present invention also relates to vinyl chloride homopolymer compounds containing vinyl chloride homopolymer resins, and articles made from such compounds, which compounds meet cell classification 23447 under ASTM D1784.
