abstract | A capacitor assembly capable of performing well under conditions of high temperature and high humidity (eg, 85% relative humidity/85° C.) is provided. The capacitor assembly comprises a solid electrolytic capacitor element, an anode terminal electrically connected with an anode body, a cathode terminal electrically connected with a solid electrolyte, and a casing material encapsulating the capacitor and leaving at least a portion of the anode terminal and cathode terminal exposed. . The casing material is formed from an epoxy composition comprising at least one inorganic oxide filler and a resinous material comprising at least one epoxy resin crosslinked by a co-reactant, wherein the inorganic oxide filler comprises about 75 wt.% of the epoxy composition. of which the glassy silica constitutes at least about 30 wt.% of the total weight of the inorganic oxide filler in the epoxy composition. |
