A cathode active material, a cathode and a lithium secondary battery employing the same, and a method of manufacturing the cathode active material are disclosed. The positive active material is doped with Mg and Ti simultaneously, and includes a lithium transition metal composite oxide having a molar ratio of Ti/Mg element of 1.0 to 3.0, thereby suppressing overgrowth of grains and improving the lifespan characteristics of a lithium secondary battery. . |
