abstract The method for preparing an N(M)C-based positive electrode material according to the present invention comprises the following steps: - precipitating a metal (comprising at least Ni and Co, preferably Mn) containing precursor (MBP); - fractionating the MBP into a first (A) fraction and at least one second (B) fraction, -lithiating each of the first and second fractions, wherein fraction A is converted to a powder based on a first polycrystalline lithium transition metal oxide and fraction B(s) is a powder based on a second lithium transition metal oxide is converted to, and - mixing the first and second monolithic lithium transition metal oxide-based powders to obtain an N(M)C-based positive electrode material.
