abstract | The solar cell integrating with the semiconductor element 10 consists entirely of a single conductivity type. The biasing agent 26 creates an electric field in the band bending and thus space charge region with a work function different from that of the semiconductor element placed on the face of the element. The electrodes are in contact with the semiconductor element inside the space charge region. Carriers generated by the light absorbed by the semiconductor element are accelerated towards the electrodes by the electric field. |
