According to the present invention, the first liquid crystal layer and the second liquid crystal layer of the display panel and the shutter panel each contain a dichroic dye. Accordingly, the polarizing function can be performed by adjusting the direction of the transmission axis of the first liquid crystal layer and the second liquid crystal layer, respectively, based on the transmission axis of the polarizing plate. It can be deleted, so that the transmittance and contrast ratio can be further improved while simplifying the process and realizing a thin liquid crystal display. |
