| abstract | The present invention provides a chlorine dioxide generator in which the amount of chlorine dioxide generated can be precisely controlled. The present invention provides an apparatus for generating chlorine dioxide gas, the apparatus comprising an electrolysis chamber, a liquid level measurement chamber, and a bubbling gas supply apparatus. The electrolysis chamber and the liquid level measurement chamber each contain an electrolyte solution and a gas, the electrolyte solution contains an aqueous chlorite solution, and the electrolysis chamber and the liquid level measurement chamber are provided through a gas pipe located above each liquid level and below each liquid level. They are connected to each other via positioned electrolyte piping, so that the level of electrolyte contained in both chambers is essentially the same. The electrolysis chamber includes a cathode and an anode, the cathode and the anode fixed to a spacer, the electrolysis chamber bubbling positioned in the electrolyte for supplying gas by bubbling into the electrolyte in the electrolysis chamber from the outside of the electrolysis chamber a gas supply device, the gas supply device being connected via a pipe to the bubbling gas supply device arranged outside the electrolysis chamber, the liquid level measuring chamber including means for measuring the liquid level. |
