Hydrophobic hybrid organosiloxane nano latex is provided as a copolymer of the following monomers (a) and (b): (a) General formula Ma M v b D c D v d T e T v f Q g of the organosiloxane monomer {Where: M= R 1 R 2 R 3 SiO 1/2 , M v = R 4 R 5 R u SiO 1/2 , D= R 6 R 7 SiO 2 / 2 , D v = R 8 R u SiO 2 /2 , T= R 9 SiO 3 /2 , T v = R u SiO 3 /2 , and Q=SiO 4 / 2 , where R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , R 8 and R 9 are each independently hydrogen, a hydroxyl group, a hydrocarbyl group having up to 100 carbon atoms and optionally comprising at least one heteroatom; R u is a free radically polymerizable group; the subscripts a, b, c, d, e, f and g are each independently in the range 0 to 10,000, b+d+f is at least 1, and p, q and r are integers independently selected from 0 to 100 , and the subscript h is 0 or 1}; and (b) a monomer having a group capable of free radical copolymerization with the group R u of the organosiloxane monomer (a). |
